Topshop Gloss Ink Review

Hellooo my lovelies,

So as I mentioned in a previous haul post, I bought two of Topshop's new gloss ink's to try and quite a few people seemed interested in a review of them so here it is!

The first shade I got was Sugar Rush which is between a peach and a pinky colour and it's a really gorgeous everyday shade for most people. My first impressions were that the colour is nice, the texture is nice and the smell is really nice (like sweeties). These are extremely messy to apply though and isn't a product for those who don't have a steady hand. I didn't find it as bad with this shade because it's lighter and easier to fix your mistakes but the darker shades are a nightmare which I'll get onto very soon! They aren't tacky like lip gloss which is a good thing as your hair doesn't stick to it as much on a windy day and they still give you that amazing 'glossy' finish. I'd say they're pretty long lasting too although you do get longer wear out of the darker colours.

The second shade I bought was Cruel which is a really deep, vampy purpley shade and boy it is dark! I think it looks really sophisticated especially at this time of year. The colour is gorgeous and the texture and smell are equally as amazing as Sugar Rush. However, I find myself reaching for this one less because it is a lot more 'out there' so I don't think I would be brave enough to wear it everyday. Also this one is so so messy to apply and it's not uncommon to find it smudged up your face and onto your teeth which is never the look you're aiming to acheive! As the texture is obviously all about being glossy, you can't even blot it as that takes away the glossy shine. I have found that applying it very carefully and slowly, then blotting it before re-applying it helps prevent the lipstick up face look though! Definitely not a product to reach for on the go or if you're in a hurry though!

The gloss ink's are a steal at only £8 so I'm an eager beaver to try out some more of their shades in this range!
