By Terry Eyeliner || Review

I was very pleased to see this little beauty in my February My Little Box because everyone knows how fab a brand By Terry is and this eyeliner is full sized. It's not the colour I would have chosen but it is a very interesting shade- a black with gold flecks that when blended turns an olive colour.

I like this, I didn't think I would get much wear out of it because of the colour but it actually goes well as an eyeliner for every day looks ... mostly. I wear gold eyeshadows a lot so I find that it compliments it really well and that the flecks of gold aren't too obvious.

You could wear this all over your eyelid and blend it out to get a pretty olive green/gold eyeshadow colour but personally I prefer it as an eyeliner. I do like how versatile it is though and I think it would make a really pretty smokey eye. It's creamy, pigmented, long lasting - no smudges under the eye four hours later.

I definitely would love to try a plain black version of this because I think I'd love it even more in black! Have you tried any of the By Terry eyeliners?

February Favourites || Beauty

I was debating whether or not to bother doing a favourites post this month because I actually don't have very many new things to show you and I don't want to keep showing you the same things. However I do love a favourites post and its become a little bit of a tradition on my blog to do one each month so apologies for the small favourites but small is better than none right??

Anyhow my biggest favourite this month is a complete surprise favourite because I did not think I would like these but its the Make-Up Revolution I heart my lips collection lipsticks. Now Make-Up Revolution are fast becoming my favourite drug store brand, I made an order with them and got these sent free with my order because I'd spent over £20. Usually free gifts from brands are products they're trying to get rid of or ones that don't sell really well so I didn't have high hopes but these really surprised me. I've loved wearing them especially the purple and the nude shades so I will definitely be doing a full post on these with swatches!

My Naked 3 palette has reminded me why I love it so much last month. Those gorgeous pinky tones
and rose golds are just perfect for the month of love, I'm always drawn to this palette at the start of the year especially in February, must be cause the palette screams Valentines Day. I love, love, love Trick it is one of my most favourite eyeshadow shades ever with its glittery rose gold ness and I also love the pink glitter Buzz a lot! As you can see from the picture though I get a lot of use out of Nooner, Liar and Dusk too.

My nail favourite of this month is without a doubt Essies 'The Lace Is On' which I actually got in my Coloristiq box which is a subscription box for nail polishes which is right up my street. I'm going to do a full post on what I got in my box once I've tried out all the polishes but sneak peek this one is a winner. It's a bright purple with such a pretty metallic shine to it.

Another surprise favourite I have is the By Terry kohl terribly in the shade 3 bronze generation. I knew it would be good being By Terry but the shade is an olive green/black with gold through it so I didn't expect to get much use out of this but I have got lots of wear from it. I'll do a full post with swatches but it lasts well and it doesn't look as bold as you would imagine it too.

My last few favourites are moisturisers because with the weather being so cold my skin has been really dry, tight and itchy so I've been slathering this stuff on. For my face I've been loving Garner Moisture Nourish and although it is a small tube, a little goes a long way and it only cost £2! For my body especially my legs and arms I've been using Johnsons baby bedtime lotion which is one of my favourite body lotions. Although it is targeted for babies, it has such a relaxing smell that makes me chilled out and helps me get to sleep. It's also pretty cheap and really good for anyone with sensitive skin because obviously it's targeted for babies so is pretty natural!

What have your favourites been last month?

May Beauty Favourites

Hellooo lovelies,

 The time has come once again for a round up of the make-up items that I have been loving over the past month! It's been a right old funny month this month with really warm weather one day but then really rainy weather but the best part of this month for me has undoubtedly been the fact that the days are getting much longer. Especially on the really warm days where you can relax in the evenings outdoors till 11pm before it properly gets dark!

 My lipstick favourite of this month has been MAC 'Morange', a shade I was initially unsure if it would suit me. However, I have grown to love orange lips more and more and have been loving having this eye catching colour on my lips in May. I have done a more in depth review of this in my recent MAC Monday post here.

 My favourite nail polish this month has been one of Barry M's new gelly shade colours 'Rose-Hip'. It's a pretty pale pink that goes with pretty much everything and I've had a busy month during May and I've often needed my nails to go with multiple outfits so this has been the perfect colour. It's also very complimentary with a tan I must say!

 I've mentioned before my love of the Nars copacabana illuminator mixed with foundation in my review of it. However, I've especially loved it this month mixed in with my Nars Sheer Glow foundation, they're absolutely perfect together for creating a natural dewy look!

 Probably my biggest favourite this month has been the Tea Tree Blemish Fade Night Lotion which I will do a full review on soon because I love it that much! It's completely and yes that is completely rid my skin of any blemish marks or redness left behind from angry spots. I was amazed when I tried La Roche Posay because the results with that were impressive but I was still left with a few blemish marks but this has completely rid my skin of all of them. PLUS it is only £9 so it's about £6 cheaper than La Roche Posay! I'm not entirely sure if my results are so outstanding by using this at night as instructed and my La Roche Posay in the morning but I for sure know that this product has wowed me!

 This month I've also been loving my EOS lipbalms because as you probably already know I can't sleep at night if I haven't put lip balm on! So I have one beside my bed, one at my boyfriends, one in my handbag and one in my jacket pocket- obsessive I know but I hate having dry lips. I especially love EOS ones because they effectively do the job, they taste good, they smell good and they have such a satisfying feel to apply because of their spherical shape.

 By Terry's ombre blackstar in Misty Rock was obviously going to be in my favourites wasn't it? It's such a stunning colour and although it is pricey, it's equally stunning and I have worn it so much throughout May. I love the packaging it's so classy and sleek and the product itself is flawless. I've done a full review of this previously on my blog too.

 With the sunnier days, I've wanted my make-up to be brighter and sunnier too and I've been loving my Naked Original palette for it's rich browns and golden colours. I absolutely love Half Baked (as I'm sure you can tell from the picture) and Buck for in the crease and can be used to fill in brows too. Another favourite shade this month has been Sidecar for a more natural look!

 Along with the more Summery weather and the pretty flowers appearing everywhere I've wanted a more floral based perfume. The one I've went for most is Marc Jacobs Lola which is a beautiful scent that incorporates florals without smelling 'granny' like or too overpowering which I find a lot of floral scents can be. The best thing about Marc Jacobs perfumes is obviously the stunning bottles which make any dressing table look a million times prettier. It's definitely one of those bottles that even when the perfume has run out it will remain on my dressing table until I buy a new one! The only problem with the bottle is it's not exactly travel or handbag friendly due to the massive flower lid and the big bottle BUT it is so incredibly long lasting that I don't need to reach for it during the day anyway. It's definitely my signature scent because when friends and family say someone smells like me this is the scent they are usually referring to!

 My final favourite this month has got to be the Crabtree & Evelyn hand cream that I received in my goody bag from the Crabtree & Evelyn event. It is the most incredibly moisturising hand cream that I have ever come across and as I was told at the event this is due to the hand cream containing Macadamia Oil. The best thing about them is that they're not at all greasy so they're ideal for using in the middle of the day where you don't have time to faff around waiting on your hands to dry. If you suffer with dry skin on your hands it would be incredible for a quick fix. I'm not entirely sure what pomegranates smell like and if this smells like them but it has a unique smell that I actually quite like - although I'm sure I could pick out a scent from the range that more suits my personal preference! You can get little hand bag sized ones from Crabtree & Evelyn for £5 or buy a full sized 100ml one for £15.

Ombre Blackstar Misty Rock || Haul & Review

 Hellooo my lovelies,

 By Terry's ombre blackstar's have hit the blogging world by storm lately and I have been putting off buying one for the longest time because at £28 each they are certainly not cheap! However, in almost all of Tanya Burr's videos she is wearing this and everytime I think that colour is so so gorgeous and I need it and that colour is Misty Rock. So I had a moment of weakness where I went into Space NK just to 'have a look' and then there was no Misty Rock tester and when I asked the lady she said she had just sold the last one. So I was quite disappointed but she said she would have another look AND then she found one in the hold cupboard without a name on it and how could I not buy it then?! So I walked out of Space NK with my purse a heck of a lot lighter but a very happy girl none the less!!

 It is literally the most beautiful eye product I have ever set eyes upon. It's a lovely shimmery, taupey, purple colour with flecks of brown, pink and silver in it and it's a colour that is very hard to describe! It has black pearl extract in it so it gives the most gorgeous shimmer when the light hits it. The packaging of this is so beautiful too with the gold pen it looks very similar to YSL's touche eclat and the band representing the colour of the product round the bottom is a lovely touch. I'm also very excited to own my first product from By Terry because it is very much a luxury brand and their products are known to be amazing. I love the fact that the eyeshadow is in a pen format because that suits my lifestyle perfectly, I can twist the product up, apply it straight from the pen, blend with my finger and I'm good to go.

 It is a cream eyeshadow but I've had no problems with this creasing at all although I have been using it with Urban Decay's primer potion underneath so I don't know if it would be as long lasting without a primer. The texture of this is so creamy that it just glides onto the eyelid like a dream and I also noticed that it was extremely long lasting so massive thumbs up for my first By Terry experience.

 I am so happy I made this purchase and although it's pricey I do not regret it one bit!! Now on my list is Frozen Quartz and Brown Perfection!! Have you tried any of the Ombre Blackstar's? What ones are you lusting after? What do you think of Misty Rock?
