Make-Up Revolution Concealer Palette || Review

I am a concealer addict, even if I don't wear foundation I like to have at least some concealer on to make me look alive because I don't get a lot of sleep. My biggest problem with concealer is I like to wear fake tan and that means I have to have a light and a dark and mix them while my tan fades which is a lotta hassle for a lazy girl. When I saw that Make-Up Revolution had a concealer palette I just had to try it given how impressed I was by their other products.

The palette comes in 3 colour schemes, light, light- medium and medium-dark. I being extremely pale obviously went for light but wasn't sure if it would be too light for when I fake tanned. However, t's perfect for when I fake tan and when I'm at my palest so I'm super impressed with the colour range of this palette. If I didn't know what it was called I would have guessed it was light- medium because the end few shades in this palette are ideal for me when my guide colour of fake tan is still on so if you're undecided between two palette colour ranges go for the lighter one.

The first three shades are my go to when I'm pale, I use the bottom shade to counteract any under eye bags because of it's yellow colour and then I go on top with either the palest colour or the one beside it. Both cover my eye bags nicely and the coverage lasts all day for me, I haven't had any problems with it sliding off my face or wearing away. I love the creamy consistency of it which is really easy to blend out and to mix with other colours.

I tend to reach for the darkest shades once I've just tanned and work my way through the palette as it's fading so I make use of every single shade. If I ever want to do anyone else's make-up too I've got the perfect colour range to do it with.

These concealers are very creamy but not too thick and are very easy to blend out under the eye or on blemishes. They don't slide about on the skin because I don't wear a primer and lately haven't been setting it with powder but it still stayed in place all day. They are so affordable too, a lot of concealers for one shade in the drugstore are the same price of this palette at £6 and aren't half as good.

This is my go to palette and whenever I go abroad this is definitely something that I will take because it has every colour range to get me through the holiday as my skin gradually tans. I think this is a must for every girl who likes to tan!

Make-Up Revolution Haul || Blogmas Day 17

More Make-Up Revolution products, are you convinced yet of how amazing this brand is? I once again have bought more things when I'm meant to be saving my money and I also have an ever increasing list of things I want to buy from Make-Up Revolution. I like to justify it by the fact that their products are just so affordable and great so it's a win win really.

How gorgeous is this?! It's another of their 32 shade eye shadow palettes, after I was so impressed with their Eyes Like Angels palette I knew I had to buy the Flawless palette too. This has so many gorgeous shades in it, I'm really excited to use the reds, coppers and golden brown shades. I think this would be a great palette for anybody starting out with eye shadows because it has so many neutral, pigmented eye shadows and for only £8.

I am the worst person for managing to stay up really late when I'm having to get up really early and as a result always have really bad under eye bags. I also have a problem of losing concealers even though I have like 50 of them and my other issue is that I wear fake tan sometimes but not all the time. I do have one concealer for when I'm tanned but every time you fake tan you're never going to always be the exact same shade so it's good to have a palette with different ones to choose from. I went for the shade light because it does have a few shades on the far right that will do when I'm tanned. I did consider the medium palette but some of the shades in there are so dark I'd never be able to use them.

The last thing I bought was four dark lipsticks because I've been going crazy for dark lips lately. It isn't as bad as it sounds because three of them came in a set and the other one was only a pound. The extra one that I bought happens to be the only one of the four that I'm not keen on!

Empties #2

 The amount of empties I've been going through recently is crazy so I have yet another empty products post. So hopefully all of you like reading these kind of posts as much as I do!

 
 The first product I've used up every last drop of is my Bioderma make-up remover. I love this product and use it every single night without fail to take my makeup off. It removes every single scrap of make-up even the toughest of water proof eyeliners and mascara's whilst being amazing for sensitive skin. This never used to be available in the UK but now it is in some stores in London I believe and can also be ordered online from Escentual or Amazon. I would definitely repurchase this because it lasts a long time and does the job better than anything else I have ever tried. I purchased Bioderma for the first time in Italy last July and since then I have used one bottle and two thirds of another bottle so for a product that I use every single night I think that's fabulous!

 My favourite brand for drugstore dry shampoo is Batiste, this is just the standard dry shampoo from Batiste but I personally prefer the brunette one. It's alright, it helps second/third day hair look less greasy and it's really amazing for giving volume. It also smells really lovely, however, I hate the white cast that it leaves in your hair cause lets face it nobody wants to look like they're going grey early! So for that reason alone I probably wouldn't buy this again and I'd go for the brunette one but if you have blonde hair this could be alright for you!

 Coconut Oil is one of those miracle products that everyone should have at least one pot of at home. I'll probably do a whole seperate post on coconut oil and all the amazing properties that it contains but it's amazing for so many different things. I use this on my hair, nails, skin and eyelashes! As you can see I've used every last drop of mine and all that's left is a dirty tub. The best thing about this is it only costs a few pounds from Superdrug so I always have at least two or three pots stashed up at home.

 Another empties post, another fake tan... can you tell I'm a tanaholic?? I absolutely love my fake tan and in the warmer months it's rare for me to be seen without any tan on. This time I've been using St Moriz tan which is a cheaper dupe for St Tropez and I have done a comparison post of these two before if you want to know more about this tan. I would 100% buy this again, I just tan too much to justify spending £20 a bottle on St Tropez!

 
If you've been reading my blog a while then you'll know that I always have nail polish on my nails. It would have to be a pretty rare bad day for me to have no polish at all on my nails because I just feel naked without it. Nail polish doesn't last great on me either, usually around 3/4 days with a top coat and I remove it as soon as it chips so I go through quite a lot of nail polish remover. This one is good and it does the job however I think I'm going to start buying the acetone free one to help repair my damaged nails. This was great before I used acrylic nails and had lovely strong nails though or if you need an acetone polish to remove gel/acrylic nails. This only costs a pound from Superdrug too!

 My last two empties are my Collection concealer which is my holy grail. I have multiple of these stocked up because I just cannot be without it and I use a lot of concealer every day. I don't usually get a lot of sleep so this is my savior to help cover up my horrendous eye bags. It has amazing coverage, lasting power and consistency for under a fiver so I will always continue to buy this forever and ever!

 The last empty isn't a proper one but I thought I'd include it anyway. I got sent an Eucerin cleanser a while back to review and with it I received a lot of samples of different creams and lotions and this foot cream was one of them. It was a very small sample but what I did try of it, I found it was really creamy and moisturising which was great for banishing any dry skin from my feet.

MAC, Sleek, Rimmel, Accessorize And More Haul!

Helloo my lovelies,

On Saturday I went shopping in town with my boyfriend because I long needed a break from all my uni coursework which is why I haven't been posting as much as I usually would. Believe me I've had to resist the urge to give up and write a blog post many a time but I just don't have the time to put my best effort into it at the moment. I will be going back to posting 4/5 times a week when it's all finished though which (thankfully) is very soon! Anywaaay I ended up getting quite a few things but I still have another few bits and bobs on my list so you may well see a second haul before long! 

 Probably the most exciting thing I bought was a MAC lipstick in the shade Pink Pearl Pop, it's this gorgeous light pink and I looove it! It's a cremesheen lipstick although to me it looks sort of more like a Frost finish as it has tiny shimmery bits shot through it. I have four lipsticks on my MAC most wanted list at the moment so I was very, very restrained and only bought one but I have a feeling I'll be back before long...

 The next big thing I got was a new handbag! My current handbag is the Zara Office City bag which I do like but it is maaaassive which is great for when I have lots of textbooks or when I'm staying somewhere but for everyday it's just too big! I opted for this one from Accessorize because it's very Spring/Summer like and I love coral colours, plus it's smaller than the Zara Office City bag yet it still seems to fit loads into it. Usually with me when people say they can fit a lot into a bag, I'm like 'not my definition of a lot' because I carry a ridiculous amount of stuff around with me! But no.. this bag really is like a magic hideaway! I may do a what's in my bag with it to show you just how much stuff you can cram in here if you would be interested(??). It's not too dissimilar to the Michael Kors selma bag either, which I really love but just can't justify buying right now especially not in a pretty colour like this as it won't go with every outfit I wear.

 This bag also comes in a bright jade green colour which I love also and was debating between which colour to buy but I opted for the coral as I thought it would be more wearable with the clothes I wear. Who knows I may end up going back for the green!! It also comes in a navy shade and a pretty pastel, lilac shade which would also look really great for Spring!

This bag was only £32 pounds as well which is a bargain compared to the Michael Kors Selma!

 A little bit of a random purchase but I thought I'd throw it in anyway because I know how many people love Zoella! If by some chance you haven't heard of Zoella she's a You tuber and blogger and she's probably my biggest inspiration because like me she suffers from anxiety and panic attacks and she's given some pretty great advice on how to deal with them. So when I heard that she was going to be on the cover of Company magazine I just had to buy it! It also came with a free 'Company' mascara but I've not got high hopes for it since magazines own branded make-up never tends to be that great!

 As I'm sure you all know by now, Boots have 3 for 2 across everything in store right now so I thought I'd get myself in on some of that action! Firstly I picked up two bottles of my favourite ever foundation, Rimmel Wake Me Up in shade 100 and 201 for when I'm tanned. Then I picked up my favourite Concealer, Collections lasting perfection, two in shade 1 Fair and one in shade 3 Warm Medium for when I have fake tan on. The lady on the Boots counter actually said to me 'You do realise you've picked up all these in different shades' hahaha. I also got two samples of MAC's face and body foundation from Harvey Nichols in shades N5 for when I'm tanned and N2 for when I'm not. I'm really interested in buying this foundation but I have combination skin so I'm not too sure but I'd really like it for when I go to events where I'll be getting my photo taken as it doesn't have SPF in it. Have any of you tried it? What did you think? If any of you have any reviews on it then pleeeease link them below as I'd be really interested in reading them!

 In my coursework procrastination I was browsing Sleek's website and I noticed that they had two new blush palettes out that caught my eye. The first one was Californ.I.A. and the second was Pink Lemonade and I was going to buy these online but as you know I have a lot of trouble with parcel couriers so decided to just pick them up in store!

 The first palette is Californ.I.A. and it has three cream blushers in it. I actually only own one cream blusher and I really like it so I thought I would invest in some more and for just under 10 pounds for three blushers you can't complain! The shades are really gorgeous colours for Spring with peaches and pinks and I think cream blushers look extra nice in Spring and Summer. Sleeks products are always really good and I'm yet to find one that's disappointed me and their blushers pigment are definitely comparable to MAC in my opinion.

 Pink Lemonade is an equally gorgeous palette which is full of pink blushers so I obviously wasn't going to be leaving Superdrug without it (you all know my love of Pink!). It has two powder blushes which are a light pink and a corally toned pink and both have shimmer shot through them. The middle blush is called Macaroon which is just such a pretty name for a blusher and this one is a pink cream blush and all of these blushers will look beautiful this season. I really love Sleek's packaging with these aswell as it's very streamlined and fits into my make-up bag with ease. The mirrors super handy aswell because it's a big mirror and it saves me from carrying a compact one around with me! I will definitely be doing a review on these blush palettes soon so keep an eye out!

 The last item I bought was a Collection work the colour eyeshadow pencil in a chocolate brown shade called 'Hot Chocolate'. I already have two of these pencils 'Vanilla Sky which is a pretty white for highlighting and a dusky pink called 'Vintage Blush' and they are really good for a quick swipe, all over the lid colour. These are extremely creamy and blendable and this shade would be really nice for a crease or outer corner colour! They're extremely pigmented and they only cost a few pounds but I actually ended up getting this for free because of my other purchases.
