Pure Zen || MAC Monday's

 Hey lovelies,

 This weeks MAC Monday is on one of my favourite nudes from MAC and that is the Cremesheen Pure Zen. It's a light nude that isn't 'concealer lips' but also doesn't match the lips exactly, it's a very pale peachy pink that I think looks beautiful. It's one of those lipsticks that if you're not sure what lipstick to wear then go for Pure Zen because it will go with absolutely everything. Want to look like you're wearing lipstick but not look like you've gone to town on it then go for Pure Zen. I personally think this is the perfect lipstick for work or for job interviews because it is such a pretty colour whilst remaining a nude.

 This Spring/Summer Pure Zen is bang on trend too because nude lips are in fashion so if you are looking for a nude lipstick to fit the trend, this one is a good place to start! Although this is a cremesheen lipstick, it does have a little bit of a frosty appearance with very small shimmers in it as you can probably see from the swatch. However, these are not really noticeable when the lipstick is on your lips. The small shimmers are light reflecting pearls as it's a Cremesheen + pearl lipstick which I believe MAC have 8 of in the collection. They are all Asian inspired too so that's why Pure Zen is called that and I think it's a really nice name as it reminds me to think calming thoughts when I'm wearing it.

I love wearing this lipstick when I've done more of a heavy eye make-up look so I can wear lipstick without looking too overdone. However, Pure Zen is a very versatile nude in that it also can be worn with more neutral eye make-up and not make you look extremely washed out and weird which I find most nudes do on me if I wear them without heavy eye makeup. Obviously this lippie like all of MAC's lipsticks has the gorgeous vanilla smell and taste which is just to die for. I often open my MAC lipsticks just to smell them (is that weird???..probably) because they smell so delicious!

Have you given Pure Zen a try?

  1. I don't think I've ever tried their cremesheen lippy's, I've tried a couple of their matte ones but found they dry out my lips a lot! Does this lipstick come off really easily?

    1. Really? They're my favourite formula of lipstick from MAC. I find the matte ones quite drying a lot of the time too, it doesn't last as long as a matte one but they do still give you a good 3/4 hours wear before needing to be reapplied. They're really comfortable and I find give the best look too. Hope that helped lovely :-) xxxx
